Fall Internships

The application period for Fall 2022 internships is now closed. Finalist notifications will be made in mid-June.

The Foundation will offer paid, part-time internships to full-time students who will be enrolled in college/university in the Greater Los Angeles Area (counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura) and semester in LA programs ONLY for Fall 2022

Interns must commit to working 13 consecutive weeks: (12) at 25 hrs. and (one) week at 20 hrs.

2022 Internships may be in-person, hybrid or remote, depending on the opportunity, and are subject to change. As a condition of employment, the Academy Foundation will require all in-person or hybrid-work interns to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19. Reasonable accommodations will be considered.

Internships will take place September 6 through week of Dec. 6, 2022



Site: Studio or production company
Activities: Observe and participate (where applicable) in the evaluation of scripted programs and/or movies for television ideas and literary material, selection of writers and oversight of script development.
Desirable background: Creative Writing, Literature, Theatre Arts, Liberal Arts, Communications
Open to all class levels

Site: Production company or studio
Activities: Assist in development of unscripted programs. Work with production company and/or network programming staff in conception and execution of programs.
Desirable background: Organizational and people skills. Knowledge and understanding of unscripted programs.
Open to all class levels

Site: Studio or production company
Activities: Observe post production of episodic, reality, variety, TV movie or mini-series. Exposure to film/tape non-linear, color correction and motion graphics systems. Opportunities to sit with editors and learn how the offline process, online and color correction process, and deliverables process works.
Desirable background: Film and tape editing courses. All applicants required to upload a video link of work samples (no more than 5 min. in total.)
